Designers

Barbara Koniecka and Maximilian Stahl are two designers interested in combining design and craftsmanship. Together, they founded Fragment.Objects, a nature-loving project inspired by raw, natural materialities.

Barbara Koniecka studied at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw and graduated with honors. During her second degree in product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she developed a passion for using traditional materials in experimental processes.

Maximilian Stahl grew up in Baden-Württemberg and studied product design at the University of Design in Schwäbisch Gmünd. He also spent two semesters at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he deepened his knowledge of woodworking and furniture design. Here they began working together on various projects, innovating craft techniques with the aim of expanding the common uses of wood. Together they went on to study for a master's degree in Eco-Social design in Bolzano, Italy.

Our values

Being outside in the forest calms us down and keeps us grounded. Through family members who work as forest rangers we got into a responsible way of working with wood as a resource. So we decided to source our wood from off-cuts of the timber industry and repurpose that valuable material. Our aim is to make objects without compromises in usability as well as consideration for the environment. A well thought-out product cycle matters a great deal to us. Therefore why we only use recycled or ecological materials.
